Mark Cuban Urges Business Leaders to Reevaluate Health Care Spending
Billionaire entrepreneur and Cost Plus Drugs co-founder Mark Cuban is urging business leaders to take a hard look at how their health dollars are spent. Cuban spoke with Fortune about lowering health care costs and bringing transparency to the role of prescription drug middlemen, who he accuses of putting profits before patients.
Cuban discussed that his companies have departed from conventional health care coverage methods, resulting in significant savings. Instead, they work with AffirmedRx as their pharmacy benefit management solution, enabling them to exercise greater control over health care expenses.
“Everything we just pay for on a transactional basis, and they do what we tell them to do,” Cuban tells Fortune. “That was an easy switch.”
