Patient Care Advocates (PCAs) are trained, compassionate experts dedicated to helping patients understand their pharmacy benefit plans and get the medication they need without unnecessary hassle. These advocates, composed of healthcare professionals, serve as mentors and partners to guide patients in understanding the nuances of their pharmacy benefit plan. These experts are trained to function as the liaison between the healthcare provider and the pharmacy, minimizing disruptions, relieving common frustrations and eliminating back-and-forth communication for patients. 

For example, when prescribed medication isn’t covered under a patient’s plan, our PCAs step in—often before the patient even reaches the pharmacy counter—to collaborate with prescribers or pharmacies and find comparable, covered alternatives. By addressing common struggles around medication access, affordability and adherence, our PCAs take on the challenges so patients don’t have to.
